The Participant will:
- Understand and abide by the Terms, Conditions and policies of Lend A Friend and the terms of their signed Service Agreement between them and Lend A Friend
- Treat all Helpers and other Participants with respect and provide a safe working environment. This includes wearing personal protective equipment where necessary
- Inform the Provider about how they wish the supports to be delivered to meet the Participant’s needs
- Ensure that the services requested by the Participant are reasonable and necessary according to their current NDIS plan and goals, and let the Provider know if there is a change in their NDIS plan
- Pay invoices issued by the Provider within one month of the issue date, and assist the Provider when interacting with Plan Managers
- Talk to the Provider about any problems with the service being provided, and approach discussion regarding complaints and disputes in a productive and respectful manner
- Accept responsibility for the results of the decisions that they make
- Cooperate with the Provider and Helper, helping their worker help them
- Do their best to stick to the allocated shift time, and avoid unduly delays
- Follow safety and emergency directions from Helpers
- Practice social distancing, hygiene etiquette and inform provider of sickness and symptoms during the Covid-19 pandemic
- Refrain from the following behaviour while with their Helper:
- Breaking any laws
- Violence or threats of violence
- Verbal, physical, and sexual harassment (inappropriate touching, shouting or intimidation)
- Using illegal drugs or alcohol, including being intoxicated during a shift
- Being uncooperative or inappropriate outside the scope of their disability
- Smoking in a Helper’s car or in the presence of the Helper if they request that you don’t smoke
